[[Comment_cn]]

  Brahmanandam parama sukhadam,

dvandvaatitam gagana sadrisham,

  Ekam nityam vimalam achalam,

  ——————
I bow to the Guru who is the infinite Ocean of Consciousness,
beyond perception, beyond duality, beyond the three gunas and all formation.
He is the embodiment of the bliss of Brahman and the bestower of ultimate happiness.
He is the abode of knowledge and bliss, and is forever omniscient, omnipresent and vast like the sky.
He is ekam – one; he is nityam – eternal; he is vimalam – free from impurities; he is achalam – steadfast; he is shuddham - pure; he is nirabhasam - without fallacious appearance; he is nirakaram - formless; he is nirañjanam - free from falsehood.
He is the witness. To realize the great Vedantic mahavakya:“Tat Tvam Asi/Asya” - “Thou Art That”, is to become one with the Guru.
  ——————
* tat tvam asya — Here we have the expression of one of the great Mahavakyas. Tat means ‘that’, tvam means ‘thou’ and asya means ‘art’. ‘THOU ART THAT’ (你就是它). Normally we see this written as 'asi' (tat tvam asi), but when 'i' precedes 'a', it turns into 'ya'.
