    ** 注意：以上有些词发音比较接近，不要搞混了，比如：“Shanti”（宁静）和 “Kaanti”（美丽）、“Kshanti”（宽容，读音类似 “/chanti/”），“Trishna”（渴望）很像 “Krishna”。还有些词有不同拼法，比如：“母性”拼成 “Matri-”，也有拼成 “Matru-” 的，这也很正常，不同的流派总会有点差异。

* “Sarva构词法”：
  - Sarva + 名词 + su/shu = 一切（名词之物），“su/shu” 没有含义，只是标志词尾；
  - Sarvabhuteshu = Sarva + bhuta + su/shu = 升起/存在于一切事物/生命之中。

* bhu = becoming, being, existing, springing, arising;
* teshhu = “on them”.
* “-rupena” = “in the form of”，以......形式；

    这个咒语初看起来比较复杂，但只要理解了其含义和构成方式，尽管形式变化多端，但实际上并不复杂难懂。
    这个咒语的主体，正如上面咒文的第二部分 “Mantra Formula” 所示：“Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu ......, Namas-tasyai namas-tasyai, namas-tasyai namo namaha”。实际应用时，可以根据需要选用合适的内容替换以上的 “......” 部分，具体可选的内容及对应的含义，上述的 “List” 中已经列出。这有点像代数表达式，运算的时候把数值代进去运算即可。
    从以上可以看出，这个咒语的形式是非常灵活的，咒语的长度可以很长（多达十几段，重要的段落可以重复多次），或者很短（只有几段），这完全视使用者的需要而定。这说明了印度教的咒语是非常生动而灵活的，只要核心的内容和意义符合基本教义，其外在形式、样式可以根据需要而进行变化，而不像某些宗教那样极端化、教条化（比如：伊斯兰教，一个字都不能改，还必须用阿拉伯语；又如，佛教，据说经文和咒语都是不能改动的），这正说明了印度教具有深厚的世俗生活属性，以及生动鲜活的生命力。
    在印度教传统主流教派中（如：毗湿奴教派和湿婆教派），通常认为，男神“毗湿奴” (Vishnu) 或“湿婆” (Shiva)，代表“最高存在和意识”，是绝对的、不变的、形而上的“梵”的化身。他们体内的阴性的、创造性的能量 “shakti”，外化而成为“女神”，也即他们的“配偶”。正是他们外化出来的强大的 “shakti”，创造了宇宙万物，以及宇宙万物的流转、变化。所以，“女神”就代表了这个动态的、变动不居的物质的、现象的世界。印度教里将我们生活的这个现象世界，视作大神“毗湿奴”的 “maya”（摩耶），意思就是“不真实的幻像”（就像佛教里认为现象世界的一切本质上都是“空”一样）。这就是上面列表中的第一个 “Vishnu-mayeti” 的来由，意思就是“女神”是 “以 Vishnu-maya 的形式”显现的。
    由上可知，“女神”实际上就是最高神“毗湿奴”或“湿婆”的 “shakti”，而最高神是无处不在的，弥漫渗透到宇宙中的一切事物/生命、乃至虚空之中，所以“女神”也同样存在于宇宙的一切事物/生命之中（当然包括我们人类和其他生物）。从上面列出的咒文条目来看，印度教认为，人的意识活动、情感情绪（喜怒哀乐等）、品德（谦逊、宽容、慈悲、忠诚、奉献、满足，等等）、本能或天性（欲望、幻想、饥、渴、休息、睡觉、美丽、可爱，等等）、智力（智慧、知识、记忆，等等），乃至个人的事业成功和财富，总之，我们的各种主观和心理、精神方面的活动，都被视作我们体内的“女神”的某种形式的显现。这是一个非常有趣的观念，说明了宗教对世俗生活的渗透和影响之大，反之亦然。
